Indication:
for the treatment of androgenetic alopecia (pattern hair loss) to promote hair regrowth and reduce hair thinning.
Description:
Minoxidil 5 mg is an oral antihypertensive vasodilator primarily used to treat severe or resistant high blood pressure (hypertension) that does not respond to standard therapy.
It works by relaxing blood vessels (arterioles), lowering peripheral vascular resistance, and thereby reducing blood pressure.
Although more commonly used topically for hair growth, oral Minoxidil is strictly used under medical supervision for severe hypertension.

Dosage
Usual starting dose: 2.5–5 mg once daily, may increase gradually Maximum dose varies by patient response Must be used with a beta-blocker (to control heart rate) and a diuretic (to prevent fluid retention) Follow doctor’s prescription strictly
Side Effects
Fluid retention, swelling (edema) Rapid heartbeat (tachycardia), palpitations Increased hair growth (hypertrichosis) Headache, dizziness Weight gain Rare: pericardial effusion Seek immediate help if you experience chest pain, severe shortness of breath, or extreme swelling.
Contraindications
Pheochromocytoma (adrenal tumor) Known hypersensitivity to minoxidil Caution in patients with heart failure, ischemic heart disease, or renal impairment Pregnancy and breastfeeding (use only if prescribed and supervised by a doctor)
