Indication:
Doxycycline injection is used to treat or prevent bacterial infections, including pneumonia and other respiratory tract infections. It is also used to treat certain skin, genital, intestine, and urinary system infections.
Description:
Doxycycline 100mg is a broad-spectrum antibiotic from the tetracycline class, used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections. It works by inhibiting protein synthesis in bacteria, thereby stopping their growth. It is effective against both gram-positive and gram-negative organisms, making it suitable for respiratory infections, urinary tract infections, acne, STDs (like chlamydia), malaria prophylaxis, and certain zoonotic infections (like typhus and leptospirosis).
Doxycycline is also used in combination therapies for treating conditions like Helicobacter pylori infection, anthrax, and plague.

Usage Information
Dosage
Usual Dose: 100mg once or twice daily For Infections: 100mg every 12 hours on Day 1, then once daily For Malaria Prophylaxis: 100mg once daily, starting 1–2 days before travel, and continuing for 4 weeks after leaving the area Route: Oral (with water, do not lie down immediately after taking) Duration: 7–14 days, depending on condition
