Description:
Clindamycin 600mg is a broad-spectrum antibiotic injection used to treat moderate to severe bacterial infections. It belongs to the lincosamide class of antibiotics and is effective against anaerobic bacteria, gram-positive cocci (like Staphylococcus aureus, including some MRSA strains), and Streptococcus species.
It is used intravenously (IV) or intramuscularly (IM) in hospital settings when oral therapy is not possible or for serious systemic infections such as pelvic inflammatory disease (PID), bone and joint infections, intra-abdominal infections, lower respiratory tract infections, sepsis, and post-surgical infections.

Usage Information
Dosage
Adults: 600mg IV/IM every 8–12 hours (adjusted by severity) Severe infections: Up to 2.7g/day divided into 2–4 doses Route: Intravenous (IV) infusion or Intramuscular (IM) Duration: 7–14 days depending on the infection Note: Always dilute for IV use and infuse slowly to avoid hypotension

Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to clindamycin or lincomycin History of antibiotic-associated colitis Use with caution in patients with liver dysfunction Avoid rapid IV infusion (risk of cardiac issues)
