Description:

Rifaximin is a non-systemic, broad-spectrum antibiotic that acts locally in the gastrointestinal tract. It is minimally absorbed into the bloodstream, making it ideal for targeting intestinal infections and gut-related conditions without systemic side effects.

  • Indications:

    • Travelers' Diarrhea caused by non-invasive Escherichia coli (E. coli)

    • Hepatic Encephalopathy as a preventive or adjunct therapy

    • Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Diarrhea (IBS-D) in adults (additional approved use)

Usage Information

Dosage

Travelers’ Diarrhea: 200 mg 3 times daily for 3 days Hepatic Encephalopathy: 550 mg twice daily, long-term Route: Oral Take with or without food Note: Always follow your physician’s prescription for specific conditions.
