Composition:

Cefpodoxime 50mg + Clavulanic Acid 31.125mg (with WFI)

Indication:

Upper & Lower RTI, Post-surgical prophylaxis, Skin & skin structure infections, Gynecological infections, Typhoid fever, Urinary tract infections

Description:

This combination of Cefpodoxime Proxetil 50mg and Clavulanic Acid 31.125mg is formulated as a dry syrup for pediatric use and comes with WFI (Water for Injection) for reconstitution. It provides a broad-spectrum antibacterial effect, especially against resistant organisms.

  • Cefpodoxime: A third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis.

  • Clavulanic Acid: A beta-lactamase inhibitor that protects cefpodoxime from enzymatic degradation, making it effective against beta-lactamase producing bacteria.

Indications:

  • Upper and lower respiratory tract infections

  • Tonsillitis, pharyngitis, otitis media

  • Urinary tract infections (UTIs)

  • Skin and soft tissue infections

Usage Information

Dosage

Typical Pediatric Dose: 10–15 mg/kg/day in two divided doses Shake the dry powder and add WFI up to the indicated mark Shake well before each use Store in a refrigerator after reconstitution and use within 7 days Always follow your doctor’s instructions

Contraindications
