Description:
Voriconazole 200 mg is a potent broad-spectrum antifungal medication used to treat serious fungal infections including invasive aspergillosis, candidemia, esophageal candidiasis, and other systemic fungal infections. It works by inhibiting fungal cytochrome P450-dependent enzyme 14α-sterol demethylation, essential for fungal cell membrane synthesis, leading to fungal cell death.
Voriconazole is often prescribed for immunocompromised patients or those who have failed other antifungal treatments. It is available in oral tablet form and requires medical supervision due to its potential side effects and drug interactions.

Usage Information
Dosage
Typically, 200 mg orally every 12 hours or as prescribed by a healthcare provider. Take at least 1 hour before or 1 hour after meals. Complete the full prescribed course even if symptoms improve early. Follow doctor’s instructions closely and attend all follow-ups.
