Description:
Isotretinoin 10 mg is an oral retinoid derived from Vitamin A, primarily used for the treatment of severe, recalcitrant nodular acne and acne unresponsive to other therapies such as antibiotics or topical treatments. It works by reducing sebaceous gland size and sebum production, inhibiting Propionibacterium acnes growth, and exerting anti-inflammatory and keratolytic effects.
Isotretinoin also helps normalize skin cell turnover, preventing clogging of pores and formation of comedones. It is considered one of the most effective long-term solutions for acne but must be used under strict medical supervision due to potential side effects and teratogenicity.

Usage Information
Dosage
