Dosage
Genital herpes (initial): 400 mg 3–5 times daily for 7–10 days Cold sores: 400 mg 5 times daily for 5 days or as directed Shingles: 800 mg 5 times daily for 7–10 days (adjust per doctor) Take with a full glass of water Begin treatment at first sign of symptoms
