Description:

Mupirocin 2% w/w is a topical antibiotic used for the treatment of bacterial skin infections, particularly those caused by Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes. It works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, preventing the growth and multiplication of bacteria. It is highly effective in managing impetigo, infected cuts, wounds, minor burns, and abrasions. Mupirocin is not intended for fungal or viral infections and should be used only as directed by a healthcare professional.

Usage Information

Dosage

Clean and dry the affected area before application Apply a thin layer of Mupirocin 2% cream 2-3 times a day Do not cover the area unless directed by a physician Use for the full course, typically 5–10 days Avoid contact with eyes, nose, and mouth
