Composition:

Indication:
used to treat fungal skin infections like ringworm, jock itch, athlete’s foot, dandruff, and tinea versicolor.
Description:
Ketoconazole 2% w/v is a broad-spectrum antifungal topical formulation specially designed to treat fungal infections of the skin and scalp. It works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of fungal cell membranes, thereby stopping fungal growth and eliminating infection.
This medicated formulation is highly effective in managing dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis, pityriasis versicolor, and other superficial fungal infections. It not only controls fungal proliferation but also relieves itching, scaling, redness, and flaking associated with fungal conditions.
Ketoconazole 2% is dermatologically recommended for both acute treatment and maintenance therapy to prevent recurrence of scalp fungal infections and persistent dandruff.

Usage Information
Dosage
For Scalp (Shampoo Form): Apply to wet scalp. Massage gently to form lather. Leave for 3–5 minutes. Rinse thoroughly. Use 2–3 times weekly or as directed by a physician. For Skin Application (Solution/Cream Form): Clean and dry affected area. Apply thin layer once or twice daily. Continue treatment for prescribed duration (usually 2–4 weeks). Do not discontinue early even if symptoms improve unless advised by doctor.
