Composition:

Fusidic Acid (2% w/w)

Indication:

for the treatment of bacterial skin infections such as impetigo, infected eczema, cuts, wounds, and boils caused by Staphylococcus aureus and other susceptible Gram-positive bacteria.

Description:

Fusidic Acid (2% w/w) is a topical antibiotic used to treat skin infections caused by Staphylococcus aureus and other susceptible bacteria. It works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, effectively controlling infections such as impetigo, infected eczema, folliculitis, and minor wounds or burns with secondary bacterial infection.

It is especially effective against methicillin-sensitive Staph. aureus (MSSA) and commonly prescribed in both dermatology and general medicine.

Usage Information

Dosage

Clean and dry the affected area before application. Apply a thin layer 2–3 times daily or as directed by a physician. May be covered with a dressing or left uncovered. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Use for 7–10 days or as prescribed — do not exceed unless advised.
