Description:
Fluconazole 150 mg is a systemic antifungal medication used to treat and prevent a range of fungal and yeast infections. It belongs to the triazole class of antifungals and works by inhibiting the synthesis of ergosterol, a key component of fungal cell membranes, leading to cell death and clearance of infection.
This single-dose treatment is most commonly prescribed for vaginal candidiasis, oropharyngeal candidiasis, cutaneous fungal infections, and cryptococcal meningitis, and is also used prophylactically in immunocompromised patients.

Dosage
Standard adult dose: One 150 mg tablet taken orally as a single dose for vaginal candidiasis Other infections: Dose and duration vary (typically 50–400 mg daily depending on the indication) Take with or without food Follow the physician's instructions strictly Not for self-medication in severe or recurrent infections
Side Effects
Most people tolerate Fluconazole well, but possible side effects include: Headache Nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea Skin rash or itching Dizziness or changes in taste Rarely, liver enzyme elevation or allergic reactions
Contraindications
