Composition:

Description:

Fluticasone 0.5 mg is an inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) formulation used primarily in the treatment and prevention of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Administered via nebulization, it helps reduce inflammation in the airways, decrease mucosal swelling, and improve overall respiratory function. It is especially useful in pediatric and geriatric patients or those unable to use metered-dose or dry-powder inhalers.

Usage Information

Dosage

Usual dose (adult/pediatric): As prescribed, typically once or twice daily via nebulizer Preparation: Use unit-dose vials; do not dilute unless directed Use tips: Rinse mouth after use to prevent oral thrush Use with a clean, properly functioning nebulizer

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to Fluticasone or any component of the formulation Not for treatment of acute bronchospasm or asthma attacks Caution in: Patients with active or latent tuberculosis Systemic infections Severe hepatic impairment
