Composition:

Levosalbutamol (0.31mg)

Indication:

Used for relief of bronchospasm in asthma, COPD, and breathing difficulty due to reversible airway obstruction.

Description:

Levosalbutamol 0.31 mg is a fast-acting bronchodilator used for the relief and prevention of bronchospasm in patients with asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and other obstructive airway conditions.

Levosalbutamol is the active (R)-enantiomer of salbutamol and works by selectively stimulating β2-adrenergic receptors in the bronchial smooth muscles. This action relaxes the airway muscles, widens the air passages, and improves airflow to the lungs.

The 0.31 mg strength is commonly prescribed for pediatric patients, elderly individuals, or patients requiring a lower dose for better tolerability. It provides quick relief from symptoms such as:

  • Wheezing

  • Shortness of breath

  • Chest tightness

  • Cough associated with bronchospasm

It is usually administered via nebulization for effective and direct delivery into the lungs.
