Sodium Chloride 3% w/v

Salt Helps Loosens excess MUCUS
Description:
Sodium Chloride 3% w/v is a hypertonic saline solution used primarily as a mucolytic agent for inhalation therapy. It works by increasing the salt concentration in the airway surface liquid, drawing water into the mucus and reducing its viscosity, which helps in mobilizing and clearing thick respiratory secretions. It is especially beneficial for patients with bronchiectasis, cystic fibrosis (CF), bronchiolitis, and other chronic lung conditions with mucus stasis.
It is typically administered via nebulizer under medical supervision.
