Description:
Fluoxetine 20 mg is a Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor (SSRI) used primarily to treat major depressive disorder (MDD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), panic disorder, bulimia nervosa, and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD).
Fluoxetine works by increasing the levels of serotonin in the brain, thereby improving mood, sleep, appetite, and energy levels, while decreasing fear, anxiety, and unwanted thoughts. Usage Information
Dosage
Adults (MDD/OCD): Start with 20 mg once daily Max dose: up to 60 mg/day, based on tolerance and response Take in the morning to reduce risk of insomnia Swallow whole with water; do not crush or chew Consistent daily use is important for effectiveness
