Description:
Dosulepin (also known as Dothiepin) is a tricyclic antidepressant (TCA) primarily prescribed for the treatment of major depressive disorder, anxiety, and associated psychosomatic conditions such as tension headaches and sleep disturbances. It works by enhancing the activity of neurotransmitters serotonin and norepinephrine in the brain, helping to stabilize mood and relieve emotional distress.
This medication is particularly useful in patients who do not respond adequately to SSRIs or SNRIs and also helps with chronic neuropathic pain or fibromyalgia.

Dosage
Typical Dose: 25 mg once or twice daily, preferably at night Dose may be gradually increased under physician supervision Take with or after food to reduce stomach upset Do not discontinue suddenly—tapering is recommended
