Indication:
Divalproex sodium is sometimes used together with other seizure medications. Divalproex sodium is also used to treat manic episodes related to bipolar disorder (manic depression), and to prevent migraine headaches.
Description:
Divalproex Sodium 500 mg ER is an extended-release antiepileptic and mood-stabilizing medication used in the treatment of epilepsy, bipolar disorder, and migraine prophylaxis. It works by increasing brain levels of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), a neurotransmitter that helps calm nerve activity.
