Description:
Rifaximin 100 mg is a gut-selective, non-systemic antibiotic effective against a wide range of gastrointestinal infections. It works by inhibiting bacterial RNA synthesis and is used for treating traveler’s diarrhea, hepatic encephalopathy (as adjunct), and small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO). Its minimal systemic absorption ensures a low risk of side effects and drug interactions.

Usage Information
Dosage
Pediatric (based on weight): As directed by physician, typically 100 mg 2–3 times daily Adults: Typically 200–400 mg 2–3 times/day, depending on indication Shake well before use (if suspension) Administer with or without food
