Description:
Cephalexin 250 mg is a first-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used for the treatment of a variety of bacterial infections. It acts by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to cell lysis and death. Cephalexin is commonly used in respiratory tract infections, skin infections, ear infections (otitis media), bone infections, and urinary tract infections.
Available in capsule, tablet, or suspension form (especially for pediatric use).

Usage Information
Dosage
Adults: 250–500 mg every 6 hours or as directed Children (>1 year): 25–50 mg/kg/day divided every 6–12 hours For pediatric suspension: Measure using calibrated spoon or syringe Administer after food to minimize stomach upset Complete the full course, even if symptoms improve early Dosage may vary based on infection type and patient weight.
