Treat Intestinal Infections
Description:
Colistin Sulphate 25 mg oral suspension is a pediatric formulation of a potent polymyxin-class antibiotic, primarily used for the treatment of multidrug-resistant (MDR) gram-negative bacterial infections. It is especially useful in children suffering from chronic or complicated infections of the respiratory tract, gastrointestinal system, or urinary tract.
Colistin works by disrupting the bacterial cell membrane, leading to cell death.
Due to rising antimicrobial resistance, it is reserved for specific resistant infections.
