Indication:
used to treat and prevent influenza (flu) as well as, swine flu (H1N1 virus). It helps to relieve the symptoms of the flu virus infection like a stuffy or runny nose, sore throat, cough, body aches, tiredness, headache, fever, and chills.
Description:
Oseltamivir 12 mg/ml oral suspension is an antiviral medication used to treat and prevent influenza types A and B. It belongs to the class of neuraminidase inhibitors, which work by stopping the flu virus from spreading inside the body.
This strength is particularly used in pediatric patients and individuals who cannot swallow capsules. It is most effective when started within 48 hours of flu symptoms and may also be used prophylactically in exposed individuals.

Usage Information
Dosage
Treatment (within 48 hours of symptoms): Children (by body weight): 2 mg/kg/dose twice daily for 5 days Adults and adolescents (≥13 years): 75 mg twice daily for 5 days (Use appropriate volume of 12 mg/ml suspension to reach desired dose) Prevention (post-exposure): Once daily for 7–10 days, depending on risk and exposure Shake well before use. Use a calibrated oral syringe or dosing spoon.

Contraindications
Known hypersensitivity to Oseltamivir or its ingredients Not recommended for infants <2 weeks old (unless under strict supervision) Severe renal impairment (dose adjustment required) Not effective for non-influenza viral infections Use caution in patients with chronic respiratory or cardiac conditions
