Description:
Doxofylline 400mg is a methylxanthine derivative used as a bronchodilator in the management of asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and other obstructive lung diseases. It helps relax bronchial smooth muscles, reduce airway resistance, and improve breathing without the significant cardiovascular side effects seen with theophylline.
Mechanism: Inhibits phosphodiesterase activity → increases cAMP → smooth muscle relaxation in airways.
Advantage: Fewer side effects and better gastric tolerance than traditional xanthines like theophylline.

Dosage
