Sevelamer Carbonate 400 mg

Used to control serum phosphorus levels in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) on dialysis. Helps prevent complications of hyperphosphatemia, such as bone disorders and cardiovascular issues.
Description:
Sevelamer Carbonate 400 mg is a non-absorbed phosphate binder used in the treatment of hyperphosphatemia (high phosphate levels) in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) undergoing dialysis. It works in the gastrointestinal tract to bind dietary phosphate, thereby reducing its absorption and lowering serum phosphate levels. Unlike calcium-based binders, Sevelamer does not increase calcium levels, reducing the risk of vascular calcification.
Tags:
- Controls high phosphate levels in dialysis patients
- Reduces risk of cardiovascular and bone complications
- Non-calcium binder – does not raise calcium levels
- Minimal absorption – acts locally in the gut
- Safer for long-term phosphate control in CKD
