Description:
Ursodox-600 ER contains Ursodeoxycholic Acid (UDCA) 600 mg in an extended-release formulation, allowing for once-daily dosing with prolonged action. UDCA is a naturally occurring bile acid used in the treatment of various cholestatic liver diseases, gallstones, and to improve liver enzyme levels.
UDCA works by:
Reducing the absorption of toxic bile acids
Promoting bile flow (choleresis)
Protecting hepatocytes from oxidative and bile acid–induced damage

Usage Information
Dosage
Adults: 1 tablet/capsule once daily, preferably after meals Duration: As prescribed (commonly used for 3–6 months or longer depending on indication) Do not crush or chew extended-release tablets

Mild diarrhea Nausea or upper abdominal discomfort Rare: Hair thinning, urticaria, or elevated liver enzymes (transient) Usually well tolerated with long-term use
