Composition:

Mannitol 10gm + Glycerin 10gm

Indication:

Mannitol used to reduce raised intracranial tension and Glycerin reduce cerebral edema

Description:

This combination of Mannitol 10g and Glycerin 10g is used as an osmotic diuretic to reduce intracranial pressure and intraocular pressure in medical emergencies like cerebral edema, glaucoma, and brain injury. Mannitol works by drawing water out of tissues into the bloodstream, while glycerin aids in osmotic dehydration and provides additional fluid balance.

The formulation is typically administered intravenously to provide rapid relief from elevated pressure in the brain or eyes.
