Description:
Polyethylene Glycol 3350 (PEG 3350)** is an osmotic laxative used to treat occasional constipation in adults and children over 17 years of age. The 17g dose (usually dissolved in 4 to 8 ounces of water or beverage) is the standard single serving for once-daily use.
PEG 3350 works by retaining water in the stool, resulting in softer stools and more frequent bowel movements. It is non-stimulant, does not cause dependency, and is gentle on the stomach, making it a preferred choice for long-term bowel regularity under guidance.
