Fluticasone 0.5mg is a synthetic corticosteroid commonly used in inhalation or nebulization form to manage and prevent symptoms of asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and other inflammatory airway disorders. It works by reducing inflammation, swelling, and mucus production in the lungs, helping patients breathe more easily.
The 0.5mg dosage is ideal for moderate to severe asthma, especially in pediatric patients and adults requiring long-term corticosteroid therapy. It is not a rescue medication but is used regularly to maintain airway health and prevent flare-ups.
