Description:
Levocarnitine 1gm Injection is a sterile solution used for treating carnitine deficiency, especially in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) on dialysis or inborn errors of metabolism. Levocarnitine (L-carnitine) is a naturally occurring amino acid derivative that plays a crucial role in the transport of fatty acids into the mitochondria, where they are oxidized to produce energy.
This injection replenishes low carnitine levels in the body, improves energy metabolism, and supports muscle and heart function. It is administered under medical supervision in clinical or hospital settings.

Dosage
Adults (Dialysis patients): 1g IV slowly post-dialysis, 2–3 times weekly Inborn Errors of Metabolism (children/adults): Dose adjusted by weight (typically 50–100 mg/kg/day IV) Route: Intravenous (IV) Frequency: As prescribed by a healthcare provider Note: Should only be administered under medical supervision
