Description:
Ceftazidime 1000mg Injection is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used for the treatment of serious bacterial infections. It is effective against a wide range of gram-negative bacteria, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa, making it highly valuable in hospital-acquired infections.
Administered intravenously or intramuscularly, it inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, resulting in rapid bacterial death. It's commonly used in respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, abdominal infections, meningitis, and sepsis.

Usage Information
Dosage
Route: Intravenous (IV) or Intramuscular (IM) Adults: 1–2 g every 8–12 hours, depending on infection severity Children: 30–100 mg/kg/day in divided doses Renal impairment: Dosage adjustment required Administered under medical supervision only
