Description:
Amikacin Sulphate 100mg/2ml Injection is a broad-spectrum aminoglycoside antibiotic used for the treatment of serious bacterial infections caused by gram-negative and some gram-positive organisms.
It works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, leading to the destruction of the bacteria. This formulation is ideal for intramuscular or intravenous administration, especially in neonatal, pediatric, and renal-adjusted adult patients, due to its lower strength and precision dosing.

Dosage
Route: IM or slow IV infusion Adults: 15 mg/kg/day in divided doses every 8 or 12 hours Children & Neonates: Adjusted by weight and renal function Duration: Typically 7–10 days Dosage should be adjusted in patients with renal impairment Must be administered by a healthcare professional
