Description:
Teicoplanin 400 mg Injection is a glycopeptide antibiotic used to treat serious infections caused by Gram-positive bacteria, including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and other resistant strains. It works by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to bacterial cell death.
It is commonly used for infections such as bacteremia, endocarditis, skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections, and lower respiratory tract infections. Teicoplanin offers the advantage of a longer half-life, allowing for once-daily dosing and outpatient therapy options.
