Description:
Pantoprazole 40 mg Injection is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that suppresses gastric acid secretion by inhibiting the H⁺/K⁺ ATPase enzyme in the stomach lining.
This injectable form is ideal for patients who cannot take oral medications and is widely used in hospitals for:
Peptic ulcers and duodenal ulcers
Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
Erosive esophagitis
Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (gastric acid hypersecretion)

Dosage
Route: Intravenous (IV) Dose: 40 mg once daily, administered as a slow IV push (2–15 mins) or IV infusion (15 mins) Dilution: Reconstitute with 10 mL of 0.9% sodium chloride Administration: Must be administered by trained healthcare professionals
