Description:
Enoxaparin 40mg is a low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) used as an anticoagulant to prevent and treat blood clots. It works by inhibiting factor Xa and IIa (thrombin), reducing the formation of fibrin clots. It’s commonly used for deep vein thrombosis (DVT) prevention, pulmonary embolism (PE) treatment, and to reduce clotting risks during surgeries or prolonged immobilization.
Enoxaparin offers predictable anticoagulation with a better safety profile compared to unfractionated heparin and is administered subcutaneously.
