Description:
Esomeprazole 40mg is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) used to reduce stomach acid production. It works by selectively inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system at the secretory surface of gastric parietal cells, thus suppressing gastric acid secretion. It is commonly prescribed for gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcers, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, and for prevention of gastric ulcers caused by NSAIDs.
Esomeprazole offers effective symptom relief and promotes healing of erosive esophagitis and ulcers.
