Contraindications
Pregnancy & Lactation: Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding without medical supervision, especially due to Katuki’s detoxifying properties, which may stimulate uterine activity or alter milk composition. Low Blood Pressure (Hypotension): Arjuna has mild hypotensive effects. Use with caution in individuals already on blood pressure-lowering medications or those with naturally low BP. Gallbladder Disorders: Katuki may increase bile flow; avoid in conditions like biliary obstruction or gallstones unless prescribed by a physician. Known Allergy or Hypersensitivity: Avoid use if allergic to any of the ingredients such as coriander (Dhanyaka), cumin (Jiraka), rose (Satapatrika), or others in the blend. Severe Liver Conditions: Although Katuki is hepatoprotective, it is potent and bitter, and should be avoided or used with caution in cases of cirrhosis or advanced liver failure unless prescribed by an Ayurvedic doctor. Children under 12 years: Not recommended unless advised by a qualified practitioner.
