Description:
Lactulose Solution 6 gm is a widely used osmotic laxative that helps relieve constipation by drawing water into the bowel, softening stools, and promoting regular bowel movements. It is a synthetic disaccharide that is not absorbed in the small intestine but fermented in the colon, improving bowel function without harsh stimulation.
This solution is also used to reduce blood ammonia levels in patients with hepatic encephalopathy, supporting liver health by trapping ammonia in the gut.
Lactulose is gentle on the digestive tract and suitable for both short-term and long-term management of constipation under medical supervision.

Usage Information
Dosage
Adults: Typically 15-30 ml once or twice daily, adjust as per doctor’s advice. Children: Dosage varies; follow pediatrician’s prescription. Can be taken with or without food. Drink plenty of fluids during treatment.
