Description:
Rabeprazole 40 mg is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) used for the treatment of acid-related gastrointestinal disorders such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcers, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, and erosive esophagitis. It works by irreversibly blocking the H+/K+ ATPase enzyme system in gastric parietal cells, thereby suppressing the final step in gastric acid production.
This enteric-coated tablet ensures the active ingredient reaches the intestine intact, where it is absorbed and begins reducing stomach acid effectively and safely.
