Description:
Prucalopride 2 mg is a selective serotonin (5-HT4) receptor agonist used primarily for the treatment of chronic idiopathic constipation (CIC) in adults. It works by stimulating colonic peristalsis, increasing bowel motility, and accelerating intestinal transit. Unlike laxatives, Prucalopride targets the underlying motility dysfunction, offering long-term relief with a favorable safety profile. It is especially beneficial for patients who have not responded adequately to other laxatives.
