Description:
Dexlansoprazole 30 mg is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) used for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), erosive esophagitis, and other conditions involving excessive stomach acid. It is the R-enantiomer of lansoprazole, offering dual delayed-release (DDR) technology for extended acid suppression throughout the day.
This formulation ensures two-phase drug release, allowing for sustained therapeutic effect with once-daily dosing. It reduces gastric acid secretion by irreversibly blocking H+/K+ ATPase in gastric parietal cells, effectively controlling acid production.
