Mesalamine Prolonged Release Tablets

Indication:

help reduce inflammation in the colon, providing long-term symptom relief. Ideal for maintaining remission and managing mild to moderate cases, these tablets are taken orally, typically once or twice daily as prescribed by a healthcare provider.

Description:

Mesalamine Prolonged Release Tablets are a delayed-release formulation of 5-aminosalicylic acid (5-ASA) used for the treatment and maintenance of remission in ulcerative colitis and other inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) such as proctitis and proctosigmoiditis. The prolonged-release system ensures targeted delivery to the colon, minimizing systemic absorption and optimizing local anti-inflammatory action.

Mesalamine acts by inhibiting cyclooxygenase and lipoxygenase pathways, reducing the synthesis of inflammatory mediators such as prostaglandins and leukotrienes, thereby decreasing inflammation in the intestinal lining.
