Description:
Esomeprazole 40 mg with Sodium Bicarbonate is a combination formulation designed to treat acid-related gastrointestinal disorders such as GERD (gastroesophageal reflux disease), erosive esophagitis, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
Esomeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces stomach acid secretion by blocking proton pumps in the stomach lining. The addition of Sodium Bicarbonate acts as a buffering agent, neutralizing stomach acid to protect the esomeprazole from degradation and allowing rapid absorption and faster relief.
This formulation is especially useful for patients who require quick symptom control of heartburn, acid reflux, and stomach ulcers.
