Description:
Nepafenac 0.1% w/v Ophthalmic Solution is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) specifically formulated for ocular use. It works by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2), which are responsible for the synthesis of prostaglandins—key mediators of inflammation and pain. Nepafenac is a prodrug that penetrates the cornea and is converted into its active form, amfenac, inside the eye, providing targeted anti-inflammatory effects.
This ophthalmic solution is primarily prescribed to reduce inflammation and pain associated with cataract surgery and other ocular surgeries. It also helps in managing conditions like postoperative inflammation and macular edema.Nepafenac 0.1% eye drops

Usage Information
Dosage
Instill 1 drop in the affected eye(s) 3 times daily starting one day before surgery and continuing for 2 weeks or as directed. Follow your healthcare provider’s instructions carefully. Avoid touching the dropper tip to the eye or other surfaces to keep it sterile.
