Description:
Moxifloxacin 0.5% w/v is a sterile ophthalmic solution containing 5 mg of moxifloxacin hydrochloride per mL. Moxifloxacin is a fourth-generation fluoroquinolone antibiotic that inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, enzymes essential for bacterial replication, making it highly effective in treating a wide range of bacterial eye infections. This formulation is used for external ophthalmic use only and is preserved in a sterile, isotonic aqueous solution, ensuring optimal ocular tolerability.

Usage Information
Dosage
Adults & Children (≥1 year): Instill 1 drop in the affected eye(s) 3 times daily for 7 days or as prescribed. Do not skip doses and complete the full course, even if symptoms improve. Wash hands before and after application. Avoid touching the dropper tip to prevent contamination.
