Description:
Teneligliptin 20mg is an oral antidiabetic medication that belongs to the class of DPP-4 inhibitors (Dipeptidyl Peptidase-4 inhibitors). It is used in the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus, especially in patients who are unable to achieve adequate glycemic control through diet and exercise alone.
Teneligliptin increases the levels of active incretin hormones, which help in the secretion of insulin and suppression of glucagon. This leads to improved fasting and postprandial blood glucose levels. It can be used as monotherapy or in combination with other antidiabetic agents such as Metformin, Sulfonylureas, or insulin.
