Glimepiride 2mg
Indication:
Metformin and glimepiride simultaneously targets insulin resistance and insulin deficiency in type 2 diabetes
Description:
Glimepiride 2 mg is a second-generation sulfonylurea-class oral antidiabetic used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus. It works by stimulating insulin release from functioning beta cells of the pancreas and enhances the body’s sensitivity to insulin, helping reduce both fasting and postprandial blood glucose levels.
It is ideal for adults whose blood sugar levels are inadequately controlled by diet, exercise, and metformin alone. Glimepiride 2 mg may be used as monotherapy or in combination with other antidiabetic agents such as metformin, pioglitazone, or insulin to achieve optimal glycemic control.
