Description:

Linagliptin 5 mg and Metformin Hydrochloride (SR) 500 mg Tablets is a fixed-dose combination used for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. This combination combines two effective antidiabetic agents working via different mechanisms to improve blood glucose control:

  • Linagliptin (5 mg): A DPP-4 inhibitor that increases incretin hormone levels, enhancing insulin release and reducing glucagon secretion, especially after meals.
