Description:
This combination tablet contains Losartan Potassium 50 mg, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB); Amlodipine Besilate 5 mg, a calcium channel blocker (CCB); and Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg, a thiazide diuretic. Together, these three agents provide a potent and complementary approach to treating hypertension (high blood pressure), especially in patients who require multi-drug therapy for adequate control.
Losartan works by relaxing blood vessels through blocking angiotensin II receptors, Amlodipine relaxes and widens blood vessels by inhibiting calcium influx in smooth muscles, and Hydrochlorothiazide promotes sodium and water excretion, reducing blood volume. This combination helps reduce cardiovascular risks, including stroke, heart attack, and kidney damage associated with uncontrolled hypertension.

Usage Information
Dosage
Usual Dose: One tablet once daily, or as prescribed by the physician Administration: Take orally with or without food at the same time each day Missed Dose: Take as soon as possible unless near the next dose; do not double dose Note: Dosage may be adjusted based on patient response and tolerance.
