Each tablet contains Rivaroxaban 2.5mg, an oral anticoagulant that directly inhibits Factor Xa, a key enzyme in the blood clotting process. Rivaroxaban belongs to a class of drugs known as DOACs (Direct Oral Anticoagulants) and is indicated for the prevention of atherothrombotic events in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) or peripheral artery disease (PAD), and may also be used alongside low-dose aspirin in certain cardiovascular risk management protocols. Its low-dose formulation (2.5mg) is particularly designed for long-term secondary prevention with a favorable safety profile.
