Description:

Sultamicillin 750mg is an oral antibiotic prodrug composed of ampicillin and sulbactam in a 1:1 ratio. Sultamicillin is absorbed in the intestine and rapidly hydrolyzed into ampicillin, a broad-spectrum penicillin, and sulbactam, a beta-lactamase inhibitor. This combination provides enhanced activity against beta-lactamase producing bacteria, making it effective against a wide variety of gram-positive and gram-negative pathogens.

It is primarily used to treat respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections (UTIs), ENT infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and gynecological infections. Sultamicillin offers the convenience of oral administration with the efficacy of parenteral ampicillin-sulbactam therapy.
